Mantra Monday 2/1


With today being February 1st, and possible New Years resolutions may have started to fade, or become easily forgotten, remember why you started.

What brings you to your mat? Why do you practice yoga? What originally drew you to try out a class or watch a video at home?

What’s your inspiration? A teacher? A friend? A picture or video that you saw, or something you heard on the radio? What keeps you motivated?

What keeps you challenged? Try not to focus so much on the challenges and obstacles on your journey, but acknowledge them when they arrive, and come back to why you started. Each time you start to wander, bring that source of inspiration and motivation back into the forefront of your mind.

It’s okay to fall off of the path, it’s okay to avoid practicing for a few days, or weeks, or months–what truly matters is that you come back, and how you do it–by reminding yourself of why you started.
